Explanation of the name Al-Haqq

He is the Truth in His Essence and Attributes, He is the most necessary of existences, He is what the whole of existence needs to exist. He is the One Who was and is described with Magnificence, Beauty and Perfection. He is the One Who was and is known to be Beneficent. His saying is the truth, His Actions are the truth, the meeting with Him is the truth, His Messengers are the truth, His Books are the truth, His religion is the truth, worshipping Him Alone is the truth, everything that has to do with Him is the truth. This is because Allaah is the Truth and what they supplicate to other than Him is false and invalid, and because Allaah is the Most High, the Great.

"And say: the Truth is from your Lord, so let whosoever who wills believe, and whosoever who wills disbelieve." (18:29)

"And what is there after truth apart from falsehood?" (10:32)

"Say: the truth has come and falsehood has been vanished, indeed falsehood by its nature is bound to be vanished." (17:81)

— ‘Abd al-Rahman al-Sa‘di

The Exalted said; “So Exalted be Allah, the True King.” (Al-Muminun: 116)

The Linguistic meaning:

Al-Haqq= Justice, opposite of oppression, and it indicates the proof of the existence of the matter. God, the Praiseworthy, is Al-Haqq: Firm in His Existence, the Constant that will not vanish. He is the Ultimate Truth: In His Essence, Attributes, and Actions. He is the True Lord in his Godhood, and all that is worshipped - except Him - Is false and wrong. He drops the truth on whoever He chooses among His slaves.

The Grandeur of Al-Haqq

Everything that is ascribed to Him, or attributed to Him, or related to Him is true; everything that is originated from Him is true completely, for His Names are true; His Attributes are true, His Saying is true, His messengers are true, His books are true, and His worship is true. He created the creatures because of the truth, and for the truth. He created them with truth. He is True by Himself, for His Origin is the truth, His Purpose is the truth, and He is inclusive of the truth.

— Maher bin Moqaddam

Then they [i.e., His servants] are returned to Allāh, their true Lord. Unquestionably, His is the judgement, and He is the swiftest of accountants.

Surah Al-An’am, Verse 62

For that is Allāh, your Lord, the Truth. And what can be beyond truth except error? So how are you averted?

Authentic Muttafaq ‘alayh (Bukhari and Muslim) Sahih al-Bukhari 7442

O Allah, to You I submit, in You I believe, upon You I rely, by Your help I contend with my foes, and to You I refer for judgment. So, forgive me the sins I committed in the past and those I may commit in the future, those I did secretly and those I did openly, and all that which You know of better than I do. There is no god but You

Ibn ‘Abbās (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: When the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) offered voluntary prayer during the night, he would say: "O Allah, our Lord! All praise belongs to You. You are the Custodian of the heavens and the earth, all praise belongs to You…
