How these selections are made
No subjective ratings: the top 20 follows each reciter’s number of listens on Assabile. For the voices listeners praise, we read 10,965 comments left on reciter and recitation pages and counted those that praise the voice (“beautiful voice”, “صوت جميل”, “belle voix”…); on average, 12% of comments do. Only reciters with at least 30 comments are ranked, and their share is weighted by their number of comments so that a rarely commented voice cannot jump ahead on two or three remarks. Rankings are recalculated every day.
