لِإِيلَٰفِ قُرَيْشٍ ١
1. For the accustomed security of the Quraysh1996 -

[1996] i.e., the honor and reputation Allāh had given them as guardians of the Holy Kaʿbah, which allowed them to travel without fear of being harmed.

إِۦلَٰفِهِمْ رِحْلَةَ ٱلشِّتَآءِ وَٱلصَّيْفِ ٢
2. Their accustomed security [in] the caravan of winter and summer1997 -

[1997] i.e., the trading caravans that traveled south in winter and north in summer.
فَلْيَعْبُدُوا۟ رَبَّ هَٰذَا ٱلْبَيْتِ ٣
3. Let them worship the Lord of this House,1998

[1998] i.e., the Kaʿbah.
ٱلَّذِىٓ أَطْعَمَهُم مِّن جُوعٍ وَءَامَنَهُم مِّنْ خَوْفٍۭ ٤
4. Who has fed them, [saving them] from hunger and made them safe, [saving them] from fear.
