اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ، اللَّهُمَّ أَهِلَّهُ عَلَيْنَا بِالْأَمْنِ وَالْإِيمَانِ، وَالسَّلاَمَةِ وَالْإِسْلاَمِ، وَالتَّوْفِيقِ لِمَا تُحِبُّ رَبَّنَا وَتَرْضَى، رَبُّنَا وَرَبُّكَ اللَّهُ
Allah is the greatest. O Allah, let the crescent loom above us in safety, faith, peace, and Islam, and in agreement with all that You love and pleases You. Our Lord and your Lord is Allah.
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ ٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَلْتَنظُرْ نَفْسٌ مَّا قَدَّمَتْ لِغَدٍ وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ خَبِيرٌۢ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ ١٨
O you who have believed, fear Allāh. And let every soul look to what it has put forth for tomorrow - and fear Allāh. Indeed, Allāh is Aware of what you do.
وَمِنْهُم مَّن يَقُولُ رَبَّنَآ ءَاتِنَا فِى ٱلدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَفِى ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَقِنَا عَذَابَ ٱلنَّارِ ٢٠١
But among them is he who says, "Our Lord, give us in this world [that which is] good and in the Hereafter [that which is] good and protect us from the punishment of the Fire."

When does the Hijri new year begin?
On the 1st of Muharram, the first month of the Hijri calendar. This calendar counts the years from the emigration (hijra) of the Prophet ﷺ from Makkah to Madinah, a choice made during the caliphate of Umar. The exact date depends on the sighting of the crescent moon.
Can you wish someone a happy Islamic New Year?
Scholars differ: Dar al-Iftaʾ of Egypt allows it, as do some Shafiʿi scholars; Shaykh Ibn ʿUthaymin advised not to start it but to reply with a good dua. Our cards stick to duas for a good year ahead.
How do I create a greeting card?

Are the name and photo sent anywhere?

How do I write a name in Arabic on the card?
Tick “Also write the names in Arabic” under “Customise the card”: the usual spelling is suggested for more than 300 names (and an automatic transcription for the others, to be checked). You can always correct it.
