Text of verse 37:32

فَأَغْوَيْنَٰكُمْ إِنَّا كُنَّا غَٰوِينَ ۝٣٢

Transliteration

fa-aghwaynākum innā kunnā ghāwīna

Translation

And we led you to deviation; indeed, we were deviators."

Al-Mukhtasar

“So we called you towards deviance and disbelief; we had deviated from the path of guidance, but all you did was that you followed us because of your disposition to incline towards disbelief and deviance.”

We did misguide you, for we ourselves were misguided”.

"So we led you astray because we were ourselves astray."

Thus we misled you. Lo! we were (ourselves) astray.

"We led you astray: for truly we were ourselves astray."

So we led you astray, for we ourselves were erring.

So we have misguided you; surely we were (ourselves) misguided."
