Date of the end of ramadan and Eid ul Fitr 2024/1445 in Jordan

Eid Al Fitr’s celebrations in Jordan start during the last days of Ramadan, during which the housewives clean their houses, and go out to buy the ingredients to make traditional sweets, while men buy the Eid’s clothes for their children. In the morning of the first day of Eid Al Fitr, Jordanians head to the mosques in order to pray the Eid prayer and to listen to the Eid speech, and the voices of praising and glorifying Allah rise in a beautiful spiritual atmosphere.

After the Eid prayers, the family members gather around the breakfast table in order to drink the traditional drinks, accompanied by traditional pastries such as the cake and the “Maamoul”, which are considered as a must in every Jordanian home during these occasions. Eid Al Fitr is considered an occasion in which the Jordanians solve their problems and misunderstandings as it is a chance of reconciliation.

In this regard, people exchange congratulations on this occasion, they forgive each other’s mistakes, and they visit their family members despite the distances involved. Some of them invite their families and neighbors to their homes in order to share memorable moments with them in an atmosphere of joy and brotherhood.

This occasion cannot be complete without making the children happy, as the parents buy clothes, toys and accompany them to the playing parks to have fun moments.

The task of the announcement of Eid Al Fitr is given to the department of justice, as its members gather around in the night of doubt to observe the Helal and to announce the date of the Eid after “Al Maghreb” prayers in the 29th of Ramadan.

According to the preliminary predictions, Eid Al Fitr 2024/1445 might be the 10 April 2024 with only one day difference before or after this date.
