Read Surat Al-Mursalat with Tafsir and Translation

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ

وَالْمُرْسَلَاتِ عُرْفًا [١]

Translation: English - Sahih International

By those [winds] sent forth in gusts

Verse number: 1

فَالْعَاصِفَاتِ عَصْفًا [٢]

Translation: English - Sahih International

And the winds that blow violently

Verse number: 2

وَالنَّاشِرَاتِ نَشْرًا [٣]

Translation: English - Sahih International

And [by] the winds that spread [clouds]

Verse number: 3

فَالْفَارِقَاتِ فَرْقًا [٤]

Translation: English - Sahih International

And those [angels] who bring criterion

Verse number: 4

فَالْمُلْقِيَاتِ ذِكْرًا [٥]

Translation: English - Sahih International

And those [angels] who deliver a message

Verse number: 5

عُذْرًا أَوْ نُذْرًا [٦]

Translation: English - Sahih International

As justification or warning,

Verse number: 6

إِنَّمَا تُوعَدُونَ لَوَاقِعٌ [٧]

Translation: English - Sahih International

Indeed, what you are promised is to occur.

Verse number: 7

فَإِذَا النُّجُومُ طُمِسَتْ [٨]

Translation: English - Sahih International

So when the stars are obliterated

Verse number: 8

وَإِذَا السَّمَاءُ فُرِجَتْ [٩]

Translation: English - Sahih International

And when the heaven is opened

Verse number: 9

وَإِذَا الْجِبَالُ نُسِفَتْ [١٠]

Translation: English - Sahih International

And when the mountains are blown away

Verse number: 10

وَإِذَا الرُّسُلُ أُقِّتَتْ [١١]

Translation: English - Sahih International

And when the messengers' time has come...

Verse number: 11

لِأَيِّ يَوْمٍ أُجِّلَتْ [١٢]

Translation: English - Sahih International

For what Day was it postponed?

Verse number: 12

لِيَوْمِ الْفَصْلِ [١٣]

Translation: English - Sahih International

For the Day of Judgement.

Verse number: 13

وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا يَوْمُ الْفَصْلِ [١٤]

Translation: English - Sahih International

And what can make you know what is the Day of Judgement?

Verse number: 14

وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِلْمُكَذِّبِينَ [١٥]

Translation: English - Sahih International

Woe, that Day, to the deniers.

Verse number: 15

أَلَمْ نُهْلِكِ الْأَوَّلِينَ [١٦]

Translation: English - Sahih International

Did We not destroy the former peoples?

Verse number: 16

ثُمَّ نُتْبِعُهُمُ الْآخِرِينَ [١٧]

Translation: English - Sahih International

Then We will follow them with the later ones.

Verse number: 17

كَذَٰلِكَ نَفْعَلُ بِالْمُجْرِمِينَ [١٨]

Translation: English - Sahih International

Thus do We deal with the criminals.

Verse number: 18

وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِلْمُكَذِّبِينَ [١٩]

Translation: English - Sahih International

Woe, that Day, to the deniers.

Verse number: 19

أَلَمْ نَخْلُقْكُمْ مِنْ مَاءٍ مَهِينٍ [٢٠]

Translation: English - Sahih International

Did We not create you from a liquid disdained?

Verse number: 20

فَجَعَلْنَاهُ فِي قَرَارٍ مَكِينٍ [٢١]

Translation: English - Sahih International

And We placed it in a firm lodging

Verse number: 21

إِلَىٰ قَدَرٍ مَعْلُومٍ [٢٢]

Translation: English - Sahih International

For a known extent.

Verse number: 22

فَقَدَرْنَا فَنِعْمَ الْقَادِرُونَ [٢٣]

Translation: English - Sahih International

And We determined [it], and excellent [are We] to determine.

Verse number: 23

وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِلْمُكَذِّبِينَ [٢٤]

Translation: English - Sahih International

Woe, that Day, to the deniers.

Verse number: 24

أَلَمْ نَجْعَلِ الْأَرْضَ كِفَاتًا [٢٥]

Translation: English - Sahih International

Have We not made the earth a container

Verse number: 25

أَحْيَاءً وَأَمْوَاتًا [٢٦]

Translation: English - Sahih International

Of the living and the dead?

Verse number: 26

وَجَعَلْنَا فِيهَا رَوَاسِيَ شَامِخَاتٍ وَأَسْقَيْنَاكُمْ مَاءً فُرَاتًا [٢٧]

Translation: English - Sahih International

And We placed therein lofty, firmly set mountains and have given you to drink sweet water.

Verse number: 27

وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِلْمُكَذِّبِينَ [٢٨]

Translation: English - Sahih International

Woe, that Day, to the deniers.

Verse number: 28

انْطَلِقُوا إِلَىٰ مَا كُنْتُمْ بِهِ تُكَذِّبُونَ [٢٩]

Translation: English - Sahih International

[They will be told], "Proceed to that which you used to deny.

Verse number: 29

انْطَلِقُوا إِلَىٰ ظِلٍّ ذِي ثَلَاثِ شُعَبٍ [٣٠]

Translation: English - Sahih International

Proceed to a shadow [of smoke] having three columns

Verse number: 30

لَا ظَلِيلٍ وَلَا يُغْنِي مِنَ اللَّهَبِ [٣١]

Translation: English - Sahih International

[But having] no cool shade and availing not against the flame."

Verse number: 31

إِنَّهَا تَرْمِي بِشَرَرٍ كَالْقَصْرِ [٣٢]

Translation: English - Sahih International

Indeed, it throws sparks [as huge] as a fortress,

Verse number: 32

كَأَنَّهُ جِمَالَتٌ صُفْرٌ [٣٣]

Translation: English - Sahih International

As if they were yellowish [black] camels.

Verse number: 33

وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِلْمُكَذِّبِينَ [٣٤]

Translation: English - Sahih International

Woe, that Day, to the deniers.

Verse number: 34

هَٰذَا يَوْمُ لَا يَنْطِقُونَ [٣٥]

Translation: English - Sahih International

This is a Day they will not speak,

Verse number: 35

وَلَا يُؤْذَنُ لَهُمْ فَيَعْتَذِرُونَ [٣٦]

Translation: English - Sahih International

Nor will it be permitted for them to make an excuse.

Verse number: 36

وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِلْمُكَذِّبِينَ [٣٧]

Translation: English - Sahih International

Woe, that Day, to the deniers.

Verse number: 37

هَٰذَا يَوْمُ الْفَصْلِ جَمَعْنَاكُمْ وَالْأَوَّلِينَ [٣٨]

Translation: English - Sahih International

This is the Day of Judgement; We will have assembled you and the former peoples.

Verse number: 38

فَإِنْ كَانَ لَكُمْ كَيْدٌ فَكِيدُونِ [٣٩]

Translation: English - Sahih International

So if you have a plan, then plan against Me.

Verse number: 39

وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِلْمُكَذِّبِينَ [٤٠]

Translation: English - Sahih International

Woe, that Day, to the deniers.

Verse number: 40

إِنَّ الْمُتَّقِينَ فِي ظِلَالٍ وَعُيُونٍ [٤١]

Translation: English - Sahih International

Indeed, the righteous will be among shades and springs

Verse number: 41

وَفَوَاكِهَ مِمَّا يَشْتَهُونَ [٤٢]

Translation: English - Sahih International

And fruits from whatever they desire,

Verse number: 42

كُلُوا وَاشْرَبُوا هَنِيئًا بِمَا كُنْتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ [٤٣]

Translation: English - Sahih International

[Being told], "Eat and drink in satisfaction for what you used to do."

Verse number: 43

إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِي الْمُحْسِنِينَ [٤٤]

Translation: English - Sahih International

Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good.

Verse number: 44

وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِلْمُكَذِّبِينَ [٤٥]

Translation: English - Sahih International

Woe, that Day, to the deniers.

Verse number: 45

كُلُوا وَتَمَتَّعُوا قَلِيلًا إِنَّكُمْ مُجْرِمُونَ [٤٦]

Translation: English - Sahih International

[O disbelievers], eat and enjoy yourselves a little; indeed, you are criminals.

Verse number: 46

وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِلْمُكَذِّبِينَ [٤٧]

Translation: English - Sahih International

Woe, that Day, to the deniers.

Verse number: 47

وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمُ ارْكَعُوا لَا يَرْكَعُونَ [٤٨]

Translation: English - Sahih International

And when it is said to them, "Bow [in prayer]," they do not bow.

Verse number: 48

وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِلْمُكَذِّبِينَ [٤٩]

Translation: English - Sahih International

Woe, that Day, to the deniers.

Verse number: 49

فَبِأَيِّ حَدِيثٍ بَعْدَهُ يُؤْمِنُونَ [٥٠]

Translation: English - Sahih International

Then in what statement after the Qur'an will they believe?
