سورة النجم، الآية ٤٥
وَأَنَّهُۥ خَلَقَ ٱلزَّوْجَيْنِ ٱلذَّكَرَ وَٱلْأُنثَىٰ ٤٥
wa-annahu khalaqa l-zawjayni l-dhakara wal-unthā
And that He creates the two mates - the male and female -

ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ ٱلْمَوْتَ وَٱلْحَيَوٰةَ لِيَبْلُوَكُمْ أَيُّكُمْ أَحْسَنُ عَمَلًا وَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلْغَفُورُ
[He] who created death and life to test you [as to] which of you is best in deed - and He is the Exalted in Might, the Forgiving -
أَيَحْسَبُ ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ أَن يُتْرَكَ سُدًى …
Does man think that he will be left neglected? …
أَلَمْ تَرَ كَيْفَ فَعَلَ رَبُّكَ بِعَادٍ …
Have you not considered how your Lord dealt with ʿAad - …
وَأَمَّا عَادٌ فَأُهْلِكُوا۟ بِرِيحٍ صَرْصَرٍ عَاتِيَةٍ …
And as for ʿAad, they were destroyed by a screaming, violent wind …
وَأَمْطَرْنَا عَلَيْهِم مَّطَرًا فَسَآءَ مَطَرُ ٱلْمُنذَرِينَ
And We rained upon them a rain [of stones], and evil was the rain of those who were warned.
