Text of verse 37:125

أَتَدْعُونَ بَعْلًا وَتَذَرُونَ أَحْسَنَ ٱلْخَٰلِقِينَ ۝١٢٥

Transliteration

atadʿūna baʿlan watadharūna aḥsana l-khāliqīna

Translation

Do you call upon Baʿl¹³⁰⁰ and leave the best of creators -

[1300] The name of a great idol worshipped by the people and said to mean "lord."
