Then woe to you, and woe!
Verse 35 of Surah Al-Qiyamah (75:35), a Meccan surah, is in juz 29, on page 578 of the mushaf. Read it in Arabic with its transliteration, translations and tafsir, and listen to it recited by 74 reciters.
80 recitations by 74 reciters: pick one and it plays in the player.
He then repeated the sentence by way of emphasis and stated: “Again, closer and closer it comes to you.”
Again, woe to you, and woe!
Again, woe to you [O man (disbeliever)]! And then (again) woe to you!
Again nearer unto thee and nearer (is the doom).
Again, Woe to thee, (O men!), yea, woe!
Again (consider how) nearer to you and nearer.
Thereafter (it is) more appropriate for you, then more appropriate!
[It will be said], "Taste! Indeed, you are the honored, the noble!
[O disbelievers], eat and enjoy yourselves a little; indeed, you are criminals.
So worship what you will besides Him." Say, "Indeed, the losers are the ones who will lose themselves and their families on the Day of Resurrection. Unquestionably, that is the manifest loss."
Indeed, those who inject deviation into Our verses are not concealed from Us. So, is he who is cast into the Fire better or he who comes secure on the Day of Resurrection? Do whatever you will; indeed, He is Seeing of what you do.
They share a sequence of words with this verse: useful for telling them apart when memorising.
Woe to you, and woe!
