سورة الدخان، الآية ٤٠
إِنَّ يَوْمَ ٱلْفَصْلِ مِيقَٰتُهُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ ٤٠
inna yawma l-faṣli mīqātuhum ajmaʿīna
Indeed, the Day of Judgement is the appointed time for them all -
Verse 40 of Surah Ad-Dukhan (44:40), a Meccan surah, is in juz 25, on page 498 of the mushaf. Read it in Arabic with its transliteration, translations and tafsir, and listen to it recited by 74 reciters.

The day of judgment in which Allah will decide between the servants is the appointed time for all of the creation in which Allah will gather them.
Indeed, the Day of Judgment is the time appointed for them all,
Verily, the Day of Judgement (when Allâh will judge between the creatures) is the time appointed for all of them -
Assuredly the Day of Decision is the term for all of them,
Verily the Day of sorting out is the time appointed for all of them,-
Surely the day of separation is their appointed term, of all of them
Surely the Day of Verdict is their appointed time all together-
وَمَا خَلَقْنَا ٱلسَّمَآءَ وَٱلْأَرْضَ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا بَٰطِلًا ذَٰلِكَ ظَنُّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ فَوَيْلٌ لِّلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ مِنَ ٱلنَّارِ
And We did not create the heaven and the earth and that between them aimlessly. That is the assumption of those who disbelieve, so woe to those who disbelieve from the Fire.
وَلَا يَسْـَٔلُ حَمِيمٌ حَمِيمًا …
And no friend will ask [anything of] a friend, …
هَٰذَانِ خَصْمَانِ ٱخْتَصَمُوا۟ فِى رَبِّهِمْ فَٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ قُطِّعَتْ لَهُمْ ثِيَابٌ مِّن نَّارٍ يُصَبُّ مِن فَوْقِ رُءُوسِهِمُ ٱلْحَمِيمُ …
These are two adversaries who have disputed over their Lord. But those who disbelieved will have cut out for them garments of fire. Poured upon their heads will be scalding water …
أَوْلَىٰ لَكَ فَأَوْلَىٰ …
Woe to you, and woe! …
يَوْمَ يُدَعُّونَ إِلَىٰ نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ دَعًّا …
The Day they are thrust toward the fire of Hell with a [violent] thrust, [its angels will say], …
They share a sequence of words with this verse: useful for telling them apart when memorising.
إِنَّ يَوْمَ ٱلْفَصْلِ كَانَ مِيقَٰتًا
Indeed, the Day of Judgement is an appointed time -
