حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَالِدٍ الأَحْمَرُ، عَنْ دَاوُدَ بْنِ قَيْسٍ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الأَقْرَمِ الْخُزَاعِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ كُنْتُ مَعَ أَبِي بِالْقَاعِ مِنْ نَمِرَةَ فَمَرَّتْ رَكَبَةٌ فَإِذَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم

قَائِمٌ يُصَلِّي ‏.‏ قَالَ فَكُنْتُ أَنْظُرُ إِلَى عُفْرَتَىْ إِبْطَيْهِ إِذَا سَجَدَ أَىْ بَيَاضِهِ ‏.‏

Ubaidallah bin Abdullah bin Arqam Al-Khuza'I narrated from his father (Abdullah bin Arqam), who said:

"I was with my father at the plains of Namirah. I passed by a mount and saw Allah's Messenger standing in Salat." He said: "I was looking at the earthiness of his armpits when he prostrated." [That is]: "Whiteness."

Al-Mubarakfuri — Tuhfat al-Ahwadhi

قَوْلُهُ : ( عَنْ دَاوُدَ بْنِ قَيْسٍ ) الْفَرَّاءِ الدَّبَّاغِ الْمَدَنِيِّ ثِقَةٌ فَاضِلٌ قَوْلُهُ : ( عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَقْرَمَ ) بِتَقْدِيمِ الْقَافِ عَلَى الرَّاءِ حِجَازِيٌّ ثِقَةٌ مِنْ الثَّالِثَةِ ( عَنْ أَبِيهِ ) أَيْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَقْرَمَ وَهُوَ صَحَابِيٌّ مُقِلٌّ. قَوْلُهُ : ( بِالْقَاعِ ) قَالَ فِي الْقَامُوسِ : الْقَاعُ أَرْضٌ سَهْلَةٌ مُطْمَئِنَّةٌ قَدْ اِنْفَرَجَتْ عَنْهَا الْجِبَالُ وَالْآكَامُ قِيعٌ وَقِيعَةٌ وَقِيعَانٌ بِكَسْرِهِنَّ وَأَقْوَاعٌ وَأَقْوُعٌ اِنْتَهَى ( مِنْ نَمِرَةَ ) بِفَتْحٍ ثُمَّ كَسْرٍ قَالَ فِي الْقَامُوسِ : النَّمِرَةُ كَفَرِحَةٍ مَوْضِعٌ بِعَرَفَاتٍ أَوْ الْجَبَلُ الَّذِي عَلَيْهِ أَنْصَابُ الْحَرَمِ عَلَى يَمِينِك…

"When the Prophet (ﷺ) fell to the ground during prostration, he held his arms away from his sides and bent his toes."

كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم إِذَا أَهْوَى إِلَى الأَرْضِ سَاجِدًا جَافَى عَضُدَيْهِ عَنْ إِبْطَيْهِ وَفَتَخَ أَصَابِعَ رِجْلَيْهِ ‏.‏ مُخْتَصَرٌ ‏.‏

Authentic Sahih Muslim 497a

When the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) prostrated himself, he spread his arms, i. e. he separated them so much that the whiteness of his armpits became visible from behind and when he sat (for Jalsa) he rested on his left thigh.

إِذَا سَجَدَ خَوَّى بِيَدَيْهِ - يَعْنِي جَنَّحَ - حَتَّى يُرَى وَضَحُ إِبْطَيْهِ مِنْ وَرَائِهِ وَإِذَا قَعَدَ اطْمَأَنَّ عَلَى فَخِذِهِ الْيُسْرَى ‏.‏
