The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) commanded us to shorten the speeches.

بِإِقْصَارِ الْخُطَبِ ‏.‏

Narrated by Ammār ibn Yāsir

This would have been enough for you, and the Prophet (ﷺ) struck the ground with his hand. He then blew it and wiped with it his face and hands. Being doubtful Salamah said: I do not know (whether he wiped) up to the elbows or the wrists.

"We did dry ablution with the Messenger of Allah, (wiping our arms) up to our shoulders."

تَيَمَّمْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ إِلَى الْمَنَاكِبِ ‏.‏

"I became Junub while I was on a camel and I could not find any water, so I rolled in the dust like an animal. I came to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and told him about that, and he said: 'Tayammum would have been sufficient for you.'"

"‏ إِنَّمَا كَانَ يَجْزِيكَ مِنْ ذَلِكَ التَّيَمُّمُ ‏"

"We did Tayammum with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) using dust, and we wiped our faces and our arms up to the shoulders."

"She is his wife in the world and in the Hereafter." - meaning: 'Aishah [may Allah be pleased with her].

He greeted the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) with the Salam when he was praying, and he returned the greeting.

إِنَّمَا كَانَ يَكْفِيكَ أَنْ تَقُولَ هَكَذَا ‏"‏ ‏.‏ وَضَرَبَ بِيَدَيْهِ إِلَى الأَرْضِ ثُمَّ نَفَخَهُمَا ثُمَّ مَسَحَ بِهِمَا وَجْهَهُ وَيَدَيْهِ إِلَى نِصْفِ الذِّرَاعِ ‏.‏

I asked the Prophet (ﷺ) about tayammum. He commanded me to strike only one stroke (i.e. the strike the ground) for (wiping) the face and the hands.

ضَرْبَةً وَاحِدَةً لِلْوَجْهِ وَالْكَفَّيْنِ ‏.‏

I heard the apostle of Allah (ﷺ) say: A man returns after saying his prayer while a tenth part of his prayer, or a ninth part, or an eight part, or a seventh part, or a sixth part, or a fifth part, or a third part, or half of it, is recorded for him.

إِنَّ الرَّجُلَ لَيَنْصَرِفُ وَمَا كُتِبَ لَهُ إِلاَّ عُشْرُ صَلاَتِهِ تُسْعُهَا ثُمُنُهَا سُبُعُهَا سُدُسُهَا خُمُسُهَا رُبُعُهَا ثُلُثُهَا نِصْفُهَا ‏"

The Messenger of Allah said: "Part of the Fitrah is rinsing out the mouth, rinsing out the nostrils, using the tooth stick, trimming the mustache, clipping the nails, plucking the armpit hairs, shaving the pubic hairs, washing the joints, washing the private parts and circumcision.'" (Da'if)…

رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ يُخَلِّلُ لِحْيَتَهُ ‏.‏

"I was a man who had a lot of prostatic discharge, so I told 'Ammar bin Yasir to ask the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) (about it) because his daughter was married to me. He said: 'Wudu' is sufficient for that.'"

كُنْتُ رَجُلاً مَذَّاءً فَأَمَرْتُ عَمَّارَ بْنَ يَاسِرٍ يَسْأَلُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم مِنْ أَجْلِ ابْنَتِهِ عِنْدِي فَقَالَ ‏"‏ يَكْفِي مِنْ ذَلِكَ الْوُضُوءُ ‏"

Qatadah was asked about tayammum during a journey. He said: A traditionist reported to me from al-Sha'bi from 'Abd al-Rahman b. Abza on the authority of 'Ammar b. Yasir who reported the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) as saying: (He should wipe) up to the elbows.

"The Prophet permitted the Junub when he wanted to eat, drink, or sleep, to perform Wudu like the Wudu for Salat."
