حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ أَبِي حَكِيمٍ، أَنَّ عَطَاءَ بْنَ يَسَارٍ، أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم كَبَّرَ فِي صَلاَةٍ مِنَ الصَّلَوَاتِ ثُمَّ أَشَارَ إِلَيْهِمْ بِيَدِهِ أَنِ امْكُثُوا فَذَهَبَ ثُمَّ رَجَعَ وَعَلَى جِلْدِهِ أَثَرُ الْمَاءِ ‏.‏

Yahya related to me from Malik from Ismail ibn Abi Hakim that Ata ibn Yasar told him that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said the takbir in one of the prayers and then indicated to them with his hand to stay in place. He left and then returned with traces of water on his skin.

( ش ) : قَوْلُهُ كَبَّرَ فِي صَلَاةٍ مِنْ الصَّلَوَاتِ يُرِيدُ تَكْبِيرَ الْإِحْرَامِ لِأَنَّهَا أَظْهَرُ مَا يَنْطَلِقُ عَلَيْهِ هَذَا اللَّفْظُ مِنْهَا وَقَوْلُهُ ثُمَّ أَشَارَ إِلَيْهِمْ أَنْ اُمْكُثُوا يُرِيدُ أَنْ يُقِيمُوا عَلَى حَالِهِمْ وَهَذِهِ مِنْ سُنَّةِ الصَّلَاةِ لَا يَتَكَلَّمُ الْإِمَامُ إِذَا طَرَأَ لَهُ مَا يَمْنَعُهُ التَّمَادِيَ فِي الصَّلَاةِ وَيَسْتَخْلِفُ إشَارَةً أَوْ يُشِيرُ إِلَيْهِمْ بِالْمُكْثِ إِلَّا أَنْ يَخَافَ أَنْ لَا يَفْهَمُوا فَلْيَتَكَلَّمْ وَلَوْ تَكَلَّمَ عَامِدًا مِنْ غَيْرِ ضَرُورَةٍ لَمْ تَبْطُلْ صَلَاةُ مَنْ خَلْفَهُ وَلَيْسَ فِي الْحَدِيثِ بَيَانٌ عَنْ تَكْبِيرِ أَصْحَابِهِ فَيُحْتَمَلُ أَنْ يَكُونَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَشَ…

Once Iqama was pronounced and the people had straightened the rows, Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) went forward (to lead the prayer) but he was Junub, so he said, "Remain in your places." And he went out, took a bath and returned with water trickling from his head. Then he led the prayer.

فَخَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَتَقَدَّمَ وَهْوَ جُنُبٌ ثُمَّ قَالَ ‏"‏ عَلَى مَكَانِكُمْ ‏"‏‏.‏ فَرَجَعَ فَاغْتَسَلَ ثُمَّ خَرَجَ وَرَأْسُهُ يَقْطُرُ مَاءً فَصَلَّى بِهِمْ‏.‏
