حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَالِدٍ الأَحْمَرُ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ فَاطِمَةَ بِنْتِ الْمُنْذِرِ، عَنْ أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ الصِّدِّيقِ، قَالَتْ سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ عَنْ دَمِ الْحَيْضِ يَكُونُ فِي الثَّوْبِ قَالَ ‏

"‏ اقْرُصِيهِ وَاغْسِلِيهِ وَصَلِّي فِيهِ ‏"

It was narrated that Asma' bint Abi Bakr said:

"The Messenger of Allah was asked about menstrual blood that gets on clothing. He said: 'Rub it off, wash it and perform prayer in (the garment).'"

Reported by Ibn Majah (No. 629).

إِذَا أَصَابَ إِحْدَاكُنَّ الدَّمُ مِنَ الْحَيْضِ فَلْتَقْرِصْهُ ثُمَّ لْتَنْضَحْهُ بِالْمَاءِ ثُمَّ لْتُصَلِّي ‏"

Authentic Sunan Abu Dawud 363

I asked the Prophet (ﷺ) about the blood of menstruation on the clothe. He said: Erase it off with a piece of wood and then wash it away with water and the leaves of the lote-tree.

حُكِّيهِ بِضِلْعٍ وَاغْسِلِيهِ بِمَاءٍ وَسِدْرٍ ‏"

Authentic Sunan Ibn Majah 628

"I asked the Messenger of Allah about menstrual blood that gets on clothing. He said, 'Wash it with water and lote leaves, and rub it, even with a piece of stick.'"

"‏ اغْسِلِيهِ بِالْمَاءِ وَالسِّدْرِ وَحُكِّيهِ وَلَوْ بِضِلَعٍ ‏"

Authentic Sunan an-Nasa'i 293
