Text of verse 38:47

وَإِنَّهُمْ عِندَنَا لَمِنَ ٱلْمُصْطَفَيْنَ ٱلْأَخْيَارِ ۝٤٧

Transliteration

wa-innahum ʿindanā lamina l-muṣ'ṭafayna l-akhyāri

Translation

And indeed they are, to Us, among the chosen and outstanding.

Al-Mukhtasar

And they were with Me amongst those I chose for My obedience and worship, and whom I selected to bear My message and convey it to the people.

Indeed, they are before us among the chosen and best ones.

And they are with Us, verily, of the chosen and the best!

Lo! in Our sight they are verily of the elect, the excellent.

They were, in Our sight, truly, of the company of the Elect and the Good.

And most surely they were with Us, of the elect, the best.

And surely in Our Providence they are indeed of the elected, the most charitable (i.e., the best).
