سورة الزخرف، الآية ٨٩
فَٱصْفَحْ عَنْهُمْ وَقُلْ سَلَٰمٌ فَسَوْفَ يَعْلَمُونَ ٨٩
fa-iṣ'faḥ ʿanhum waqul salāmun fasawfa yaʿlamūna
So turn aside from them and say, "Peace."1456 But they are going to know.
[1456] Meaning safety or security, i.e., "I will not harm you." This was before permission was granted for armed struggle.
Verse 89 of Surah Az-Zukhruf (43:89), a Meccan surah, is in juz 25, on page 495 of the mushaf. Read it in Arabic with its transliteration, translations and tafsir, and listen to it recited by 74 reciters.

So ignore them, and say to them whatever repels their evil - this was in Makkah - they will soon realise what punishment they will face.
So turn away from them and say, “Peace35.” They will come to know.
[35] Safety and security, i.e., “I will not harm you.” This was before granting permission to the Prophet (ﷺ) for armed struggle.
So turn away from them (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه و سلم), and say: Salâm (peace)! But they will come to know.6
[6] (V.43:89) The provision of this Verse was abrogated by the revelation of the Verse of fighting them (V.9.5).
Then bear with them (O Muhammad) and say: Peace. But they will come to know.
But turn away from them, and say "Peace!" But soon shall they know!
So turn away from them and say, Peace, for they shall soon come to know.
Yet pardon them, and say, "Peace!" Yet eventually they will know.
