Text of verse 26:136

قَالُوا۟ سَوَآءٌ عَلَيْنَآ أَوَعَظْتَ أَمْ لَمْ تَكُن مِّنَ ٱلْوَٰعِظِينَ ۝١٣٦

Transliteration

qālū sawāon ʿalaynā awaʿaẓta am lam takun mina l-wāʿiẓīna

Translation

They said, "It is all the same to us whether you advise or are not of the advisors.

His people said to him, “Your warning us and not warning us is the same to us, for we shall never believe in you and will never turn away from whatever we are doing.”

They said, “It is the same to us whether you admonish us or not.

They said: "It is the same to us whether you preach or be not of those who preach.

They said: It is all one to us whether thou preachest or art not of those who preach;

They said: "It is the same to us whether thou admonish us or be not among (our) admonishers!

They said: It is the same to us whether you admonish or are not one of the admonishers

They said, "It is equal to us, whether you admonish or you are not one of the admonishers.
