So glorify Allah when you enter the night, the time of the two night prayers: Al-Maghrib and Al-‘Ishā, and also glorify Him when you enter the morning: the time of the Fajr prayer.
So glory be to Allah in the evening and in the morning6,
[6] This and the next verse demonstrate the times of the five daily prayers. The "evening" refers to Maghrib and ‘Ishā’ prayers, and "morning" refers to Fajr prayer.
So glorify Allâh [above all that (evil) they associate with Him (O believers)] when you come up to the evening [i.e. offer the (Maghrib ) sunset and (‘Ishâ’) night prayers], and when you enter the morning [i.e. offer the (Fajr) morning prayer].
So glory be to Allah when ye enter the night and when ye enter the morning -
So (give) glory to Allah, when ye reach eventide and when ye rise in the morning;
Therefore glory be to Allah when you enter upon the time of the evening and when you enter upon the time of the morning.
So All Extolment be to Allah while you are in your evening hours and while you become (vigilant) in your morning hours.
One hadith cites this verse; its text is in Arabic.
وَٱلنَّهَارِ إِذَا جَلَّىٰهَا …
And [by] the day when it displays it …
وَٱلَّيْلِ إِذَا يَغْشَىٰ …
By the night when it covers …
وَٱلضُّحَىٰ …
By the morning brightness …
