سورة القيامة، الآية ٣٨
ثُمَّ كَانَ عَلَقَةً فَخَلَقَ فَسَوَّىٰ ٣٨
thumma kāna ʿalaqatan fakhalaqa fasawwā
Then he was a clinging clot, and [Allāh] created [his form] and proportioned [him]

Thereafter he was a piece of coagulated blood. Then Allah created him and made his form proportionate.
then he became a clinging clot11, then He created him and perfected his form,
[11] "‘Alaqah": an embryo that resembles a leech.
Then he became an ‘Alaqah (a clot); then (Allâh) shaped and fashioned (him) in due proportion.4

Then he was a clot of blood, so He created (him) then made (him) perfect.
