and those who spend the night prostrating and standing before their Lord;

[5] (V.25:64) Ibn ‘Abbâs رضي الله عنهما said: "Whosoever prayed two Rak‘at or more after the ‘Isha’ (night) prayer, will be considered like those mentioned in this Verse." And Al-Kalbi said: "Whosoever prayed two Rak‘at after the Maghrib (evening) prayer, and four Rak‘at after the ‘Ishâ (night) prayer will be considered like those mentioned in this Verse." (Tafsîr Al-Qurtubî).
And who spend the night before their Lord, prostrate and standing,
Those who spend the night in adoration of their Lord prostrate and standing;
And they who pass the night prostrating themselves before their Lord and standing.
And the ones who spend the night, (constantly) prostrating and upright to their lord.
They used to sleep but little of the night, …
Their sides part [i.e., they arise] from [their] beds; they supplicate their Lord in fear and aspiration, and from what We have provided them, they spend.
Is one who is devoutly obedient during periods of the night, prostrating and standing [in prayer], fearing the Hereafter and hoping for the mercy of his Lord, [like one who does not]? Say, "Are those who know equal to those who do not know?" Only they will remember [who are] people of understanding.
