Kind speech and forgiveness are better than charity followed by injury. And Allāh is Free of need and Forbearing.
عَبْد الْغَنِيّ
Boy Arabic origin ʿAbd al-Ghaniyy
Name of Allah“Servant of the Self-Sufficient, the Rich”
The Prophet ﷺ said: “The most beloved of your names to Allah are ʿAbd Allah and ʿAbd al-Rahman” (Muslim 2132), and scholars add to them all names formed on a name of Allah. The name al-Ghaniyy occurs 18 times in the Quran; its page in the 99 Names section gives its meaning and verses.
ʿAbd al-Ghaniyy joins ʿabd with al-Ghaniyy, from the root gh-n-y of wealth and self-sufficiency: the One who needs nothing and no one, while everything needs Him. The Quran: “O people, it is you who are in need of Allah, and Allah is the Self-Sufficient, the Praiseworthy” (35:15). Very common in Algeria (Abdelghani).
This name is built on a name of Allah found in the Quran; its verses are on the page of that name.

O you who have believed, spend from the good things which you have earned and from that which We have produced for you from the earth. And do not aim toward the defective therefrom, spending [from that] while you would not take it [yourself] except with closed eyes. And know that Allāh is Free of need and Praiseworthy.
