Jami' at-Tirmidhi 1886

From Thumamah, from Anas that: "The Prophet (ﷺ) would breathe three times in the vessel." Another chain from Anas bin Malik: "The Prophet (ﷺ) would breathe three times in the vessel." He said: This Hadith is Hasan Sahih.

يَتَنَفَّسُ فِي الإِنَاءِ ثَلاَثًا ‏.‏

Abu Qatada reported on the authority of his father that Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) forbade breathing in a vessel.

The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) forbade breathing into the pot or blowing into it

Ibn ‘Abbās (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) forbade breathing into the pot or blowing into it.

أَنْ يُتَنَفَّسَ فِي الإِنَاءِ أَوْ يُنْفَخَ فِيهِ ‏.‏

Anas used to breathe twice or thrice in the vessel (while drinking) and used to say that the Prophet; used to take three breaths while drinking.

كَانَ أَنَسٌ يَتَنَفَّسُ فِي الإِنَاءِ مَرَّتَيْنِ أَوْ ثَلاَثًا، وَزَعَمَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم كَانَ يَتَنَفَّسُ ثَلاَثًا‏.‏

It is more thirst- quenching, healthier and more wholesome. Anas said: So I also breathe three times in the course of a drink.

يَتَنَفَّسُ فِي الشَّرَابِ ثَلاَثًا وَيَقُولُ ‏"‏ إِنَّهُ أَرْوَى وَأَبْرَأُ وَأَمْرَأُ ‏"

when the prophet (ﷺ) drank, he used to breathe three times in the course of a drink and say : It is more whole some ,thrist-quenching and healthier.

إِذَا شَرِبَ تَنَفَّسَ ثَلاَثًا وَقَالَ ‏"‏ هُوَ أَهْنَأُ وَأَمْرَأُ وَأَبْرَأُ ‏"
