لاَ أَسِمُهُ إِلاَّ فِي أَقْصَى شَىْءٍ مِنَ الْوَجْهِ ‏.‏ فَأَمَرَ بِحِمَارٍ لَهُ فَكُوِيَ فِي جَاعِرَتَيْهِ فَهُوَ أَوَّلُ مَنْ كَوَى الْجَاعِرَتَيْنِ

Narrated by Ibn ‘Abbās Explained

Jabir said, "The Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, passed by an animal which had been branded and its nostrils were smoking. The Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, 'Allah curses any person who does this. No one should mark the face nor strike it.'"

Allah has cursed one who has cauterised it (on the face).

لَعَنَ اللَّهُ الَّذِي وَسَمَهُ ‏"

Narrated by Jābir ibn ‘Abdullāh

"The Prophet (ﷺ) prohibited branding on the face and striking (it)." [Abu 'Eisa said:] This Hadith is Hasan Sahih.

Jabir reported the Prophet (ﷺ) as saying when an ass which had been branded on its face passed him. Did it not reach you that I cursed him who branded the animals on their faces or struck them on their faces. So he prohibited it.

أَمَا بَلَغَكُمْ أَنِّي قَدْ لَعَنْتُ مَنْ وَسَمَ الْبَهِيمَةَ فِي وَجْهِهَا أَوْ ضَرَبَهَا فِي وَجْهِهَا ‏"‏ ‏.‏ فَنَهَى عَنْ ذَلِكَ
