أَخْبَرَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ الْقَاسِمَ بْنَ مُحَمَّدٍ، يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ لَقَدْ رَأَيْتُمُونِي مُعْتَرِضَةً بَيْنَ يَدَىْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم

وَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يُصَلِّي فَإِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَسْجُدَ غَمَزَ رِجْلِي فَضَمَمْتُهَا إِلَىَّ ثُمَّ يَسْجُدُ ‏.‏

It was narrated that 'Aishah said:

"I remember lying in front of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), and the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was praying. When he wanted to prostrate he would nudge my foot and I would draw it up (out of the way) until he had finished prostrating."

Al-Sindi — Hashiyat al-Sindi on Sunan al-Nasa'i

قَوْله ( غَمَزَ رِجْلِي ) أَنَّ رِجْلهَا كَانَ فِي مَوْضِع سُجُوده صَلَّى اللَّه تَعَالَى عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَكَانَ يُعْلِمهَا بِالْغَمْزِ أَنَّهُ يُرِيد السُّجُود وَلَا يَخْفَى مَا فِيهِ مِنْ الْمَسّ وَالْقَوْل بِأَنَّهُ كَانَ بِحَائِلٍ بَعِيد يَحْتَاج إِلَى دَلِيل. قَوْله ( وَالْبُيُوت يَوْمَئِذٍ إِلَخْ ) اِعْتِذَار عَنْهَا بِأَنَّهَا مَا كَانَتْ تَدْرِي وَقْت سُجُوده لِعَدَمِ الْمِصْبَاح وَإِلَّا لَمَا اِحْتَاجَ صَلَّى اللَّه تَعَالَى عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَى الْغَمْز كُلّ مَرَّة بَلْ هِيَ ضَمَّتْ رِجْلهَا إِلَيْهَا وَقْت السُّجُود.…

Authentic Sunan Abu Dawud 712

I used to sleep with my legs in front of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) when he would offer his prayer at night (i.e. tahajjud prayer offered towards the end of the night.). When he prostrated himself he struck my legs, and I drew them up and he then prostrated.

صلى الله عليه وسلم يُصَلِّي وَأَنَا مُعْتَرِضَةٌ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ فَإِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَسْجُدَ غَمَزَ رِجْلِي فَضَمَمْتُهَا إِلَىَّ ثُمَّ يَسْجُدُ ‏.‏

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to pray at night and she (‘A’ishah) would lie between him and the qiblah, sleeping on the bed on which he would sleep. When he wanted to offer the witr prayer, he awakened her and she offered the witr prayer.

يُصَلِّي صَلاَتَهُ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ وَهِيَ مُعْتَرِضَةٌ بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ الْقِبْلَةِ رَاقِدَةً عَلَى الْفِرَاشِ الَّذِي يَرْقُدُ عَلَيْهِ حَتَّى إِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يُوتِرَ أَيْقَظَهَا فَأَوْتَرَتْ ‏.‏
