Chapter: It is recommended to apply perfume just before entering Ihram, and it is recommended to use Musk, and it does not matter if its glistening traces remain

Narrator:Ā’ishah

وَحَدَّثَنَاهُ أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ، عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عُرْوَةَ، يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، - رضى الله عنها - قَالَتْ كُنْتُ

أُطَيِّبُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم بِأَطْيَبِ مَا أَقْدِرُ عَلَيْهِ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُحْرِمَ ثُمَّ يُحْرِمُ ‏.‏

'A'isha (Allah be pleased with her) reported:

I applied the best perfume, which I could get, to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) before entering upon the state of Ihram (and after this) he put on the Ihram.

Reported by Muslim (No. 1189g), Al-Bukhari (No. 5923, 5928), An-Nasa’i (No. 2690, 2691, 2701), Ahmad (No. 23839, 24126, 24543, 24570, 24967) and Ad-Darimi (No. 1733, 1734).
