Chapter: Killing house lizards

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْحَمِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ، عَنْ أُمِّ شَرِيكٍ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم
ـ أَمَرَهَا بِقَتْلِ الأَوْزَاغِ .
It was narrated from Umm Sharik that the Prophet (ﷺ) told her to kill house lizards.
Reported by Ibn Majah (No. 3228) and Al-Bukhari (No. 3307).

أَمَرَهَا بِقَتْلِ الأَوْزَاغِ.
Umm Sharīk (may Allah be pleased with her) reported that the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) ordered her to kill geckos and said: “They used to blow [the fire] on Ibrahīm."
-وعن أم شريك رضي الله عنها أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم أمرها بقتل الأوزاغ وقال: “كان ينفخ على إبراهيم" ((متفق عليه)).
بِقَتْلِ الْوَزَغِ وَسَمَّاهُ فُوَيْسِقًا .
أَمَرَ بِقَتْلِ الْوَزَغِ وَقَالَ " كَانَ يَنْفُخُ عَلَى إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَمُ "
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، وَعَبْدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ، قَالاَ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، كَرِوَايَةِ يُونُسَ بِإِسْنَادِهِ .
أَنَّ إِبْرَاهِيمَ لَمَّا أُلْقِيَ فِي النَّارِ لَمْ تَكُنْ فِي الأَرْضِ دَابَّةٌ إِلاَّ أَطْفَأَتِ النَّارَ غَيْرَ الْوَزَغِ فَإِنَّهَا كَانَتْ تَنْفُخُ عَلَيْهِ فَأَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ…
