Narrator:Abdullāh ibn Abi Awfa

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ أَبِي خَالِدٍ، سَمِعَ ابْنَ أَبِي أَوْفَى، يَقُولُ

لَمَّا اعْتَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم سَتَرْنَاهُ مِنْ غِلْمَانِ الْمُشْرِكِينَ وَمِنْهُمْ، أَنْ يُؤْذُوا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم‏.‏

Narrated Ibn Abi `Aufa:

When Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) performed the `Umra (which he performed in the year following the treaty of Al-Hudaibiya) we were screening Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) from the infidels and their boys lest they should harm him.

Ibn Hajar al-Asqalani — Fath al-Bari

قَوْله : ( عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْن أَبِي خَالِد ) فِي رِوَايَة الْحُمَيْدِيِّ " عَنْ سُفْيَان حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيل بْن أَبِي خَالِد ". قَوْله : ( سَتَرْنَاهُ مِنْ غِلْمَانِ الْمُشْرِكِينَ وَمِنْهُمْ أَنْ يُؤْذُوا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّه عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ) أَيْ خَشِيَةِ أَنْ يُؤْذُوهُ , كَذَا قَالَهُ عَلِيّ بْن عَبْد اللَّه عَنْ سُفْيَان بِهَذَا اللَّفْظ , وَقَالَهُ اِبْن أَبِي عُمَر عَنْ سُفْيَان بِلَفْظِ " لَمَّا قِدَمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّه عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَكَّة طَافَ بِالْبَيْتِ فِي عُمْرَةِ الْقَضِيَّةِ , فَكُنَّا نَسْتُرُهُ مِنْ السُّفَهَاءِ وَالصِّبْيَانِ مَخَافَةَ أَنْ يُؤْذُوهُ " أَخْرَجَهُ الْإِسْمَاعِيلِيّ , وَأَخْرَجَهُ مِنْ رِوَايَةِ إِسْحَاقَ بْن أَبِي إِسْرَ…
