Narrator:Samurah ibn Jundub

حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ أَبِي سُرَيْجٍ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا شَبَابَةُ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ حُسَيْنٍ الْمُعَلِّمِ، عَنِ ابْنِ بُرَيْدَةَ، عَنْ سَمُرَةَ بْنِ جُنْدُبٍ، أَنَّ امْرَأَةً، مَاتَتْ فِي بَطْنٍ

، فَصَلَّى عَلَيْهَا النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَامَ وَسَطَهَا‏.‏

Narrated Samura bin Jundub:

The Prophet (ﷺ) offered the funeral prayer for the dead body of a woman who died during delivery (i.e. childbirth) and he stood by the middle of her body.

قَوْله : ( حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَد بْن أَبِي سُرَيْج ) تَقَدَّمَ أَنَّهُ بِالْمُهْمَلَةِ وَالْجِيم , وَاسْمه الصَّبَّاح , وَقِيلَ إِنَّ أَحْمَد هُوَ اِبْن عُمَر بْن أَبِي سُرَيْج فَكَأَنَّهُ نُسِبَ إِلَى جَدّه. قَوْله : ( أَنَّ اِمْرَأَة ) هِيَ أُمّ كَعْب سَمَّاهَا مُسْلِم فِي رِوَايَته مِنْ طَرِيق عَبْد الْوَارِث عَنْ حُسَيْن الْمُعَلِّم , وَذَكَرَ أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ فِي الصَّحَابَة أَنَّهَا أَنْصَارِيَّة. قَوْله : ( مَاتَتْ فِي بَطْن ) أَيْ بِسَبَبِ بَطْنٍ يَعْنِي الْحَمْل , وَهُوَ نَظِير قَوْله " عُذِّبَتْ اِمْرَأَة فِي هِرَّة " قَالَ اِبْن التَّيْمِيِّ : قِيلَ وَهِمَ الْبُخَارِيّ فِي هَذِهِ التَّرْجَمَة فَظَنَّ أَنَّ قَوْله " مَاتَتْ فِي بَطْن " مَاتَتْ فِي الْوِلَادَة , قَالَ : وَمَعْنَى مَاتَتْ…
