Tafsir of verse 46
Al-Mukhtasar
Whenever Allah’s signs indicating to His Oneness and His being deserving of being worshipped alone came to these idolaters, they used to turn away from it without taking heed.
No sign ever comes to them from their Lord except that they turn away from it.
And never came an Ayâh from among the Ayât (proofs, evidence, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of their Lord to them, but they did turn away from it.
Never came a token of the tokens of their Lord to them, but they did turn away from it!
Not a Sign comes to them from among the Signs of their Lord, but they turn away therefrom.
And there comes not to them a communication of the communications of their Lord but they turn aside from it.
And in no way does any sign of the signs of their Lord come up to them, except that they were veering away from it.
