About Surah Quraysh
Surah Quraysh, also called “Li-ilafi Quraysh”, is Meccan according to the great majority of scholars; some said it is Medinan, but the first view is more correct, as it is reported from Ibn Abbas and others. It has four verses, five in the Hijazi count, and was revealed after At-Tin and before Al-Qari’ah, twenty-ninth in the order of revelation. Quraysh are the descendants of An-Nadr ibn Kinanah, so called because they gathered after being scattered.
