Other translations of verse 75

Abraham was indeed forbearing, tenderhearted42, and constantly returning in repentance.

Notes

[42] i.e., supplicating with humility out of fear of Allah.

Verily, Ibrahîm (Abraham) was, without doubt, forbearing, used to invoking Allâh with humility, and was repentant (to Allâh all the time, again and again).

Lo! Abraham was mild, imploring, penitent.

For Abraham was, without doubt, forbearing (of faults), compassionate, and given to look to Allah.

Most surely Ibrahim was forbearing, tender-hearted, oft-returning (to Allah):

Surely Ibrahim is indeed constantly forbearing, most plaintive, constantly penitent.
