And at night, glorify your Lord and pray to Him, and pray the Fajr prayer after the stars have set due to daylight.
And glorify Him at night and when the stars fade away18.
[18] i.e., the early hours of the morning when the stars set; the time of the Fajr Prayer.
And in the nighttime also glorify His Praises - and at the setting of the stars.10
[10] (V.52:49) It is said that glorifying Allâh’s Praises here means: all the five compulsory and additional Nawâfil prayers.
And in the night-time also hymn His praise, and at the setting of the stars.
And for part of the night also praise thou Him,- and at the retreat of the stars!
And in the night, give Him glory too, and at the setting of the stars.
And for (part) of the night, then (also) extol Him, and at the with drawing of the stars.
And from [part of] the night, pray with it [i.e., recitation of the Qur’ān] as additional [worship] for you; it is expected that your Lord will resurrect you to a praised station.
They share a sequence of words with this verse: useful for telling them apart when memorising.
وَمِنَ ٱلَّيْلِ فَسَبِّحْهُ وَأَدْبَٰرَ ٱلسُّجُودِ
And [in part] of the night exalt Him and after prostration [i.e., prayer].
