Virtues and benefits of Surah At-Talaq
No hadith attributes a particular virtue to it: Surah At-Talaq draws its merit from belonging to the Mufassal, by which the Prophet ﷺ was favoured over the other prophets. It sets out the rulings on divorce, the waiting period, nursing, maintenance and housing, repeatedly commands piety, and shows the fruits of fearing Allah and relying on Him.
Its virtues at a glance

A surah of the Mufassal

The surah of the rulings on divorce
Most of its verses set out the rulings on divorce and what follows from it: the waiting period, nursing, maintenance, housing, and witnesses to divorce and to taking the wife back, together with the prohibition of harming divorced women.
