سورة الواقعة، الآية ٩
وَأَصْحَٰبُ ٱلْمَشْـَٔمَةِ مَآ أَصْحَٰبُ ٱلْمَشْـَٔمَةِ ٩
wa-aṣḥābu l-mashamati mā aṣḥābu l-mashamati
And the companions of the left - what are companions of the left?1610
[1610] i.e., those given their records in their left hand and who are destined for Hell.
Verse 9 of Surah Al-Waqi’ah (56:9), a Meccan surah, is in juz 27, on page 534 of the mushaf. Read it in Arabic with its transliteration, translations and tafsir, and listen to it recited by 73 reciters.

The people of the left hand, who will receive their books in their left hands. How despicable and wretched will be their ranks.
The people of the left – how miserable will be the people of the left3!
[3] i.e., those who receive their record of deeds in the left hand and are destined for Hell.
And those on the Left Hand (i.e. those who will be given their Record in their left hands) - how (unfortunate) will be those on the Left Hand! (As a disgrace for them, because they will enter Hell).
And (then) those on the left hand; what of those on the left hand?
And the Companions of the Left Hand,- what will be the Companions of the Left Hand?
And (as to) the companions of the left hand; how wretched are the companions of the left hand!
And the companions of the Sinister (befalling), what (will become) of the companions of the Sinister (befalling)? (Or: the Left Hand)
