Text of verse 18:91

كَذَٰلِكَ وَقَدْ أَحَطْنَا بِمَا لَدَيْهِ خُبْرًا ۝٩١

Transliteration

kadhālika waqad aḥaṭnā bimā ladayhi khub'ran

Translation

Thus.⁷⁹⁷ And We had encompassed [all] that he had in knowledge.

Al-Mukhtasar

This is the matter of Dhu’l-Qarnayn, and My knowledge has encompassed the power and strength he had.

So it was, and We had full knowledge about him⁴⁶.

Notes

[46] i.e., Dhul-Qarnayn.

So (it was)! And We knew all about him (Dhul-Qarnain).

So (it was). And We knew all concerning him.

(He left them) as they were: We completely understood what was before him.

Even so! and We had a full knowledge of what he had.

Thus it was, and We already encompassed in cognizance what was close to him.
