Text of verse 15:73

فَأَخَذَتْهُمُ ٱلصَّيْحَةُ مُشْرِقِينَ ۝٧٣

Transliteration

fa-akhadhathumu l-ṣayḥatu mush'riqīna

Translation

So the shriek⁶⁸² seized them at sunrise.

The destructive punishment seized them at the time of sunrise.

So they were seized by the blast at sunrise,

So As-Saihah (torment - awful cry) overtook them at the time of sunrise.

Then the (Awful) Cry overtook them at the sunrise.

But the (mighty) Blast overtook them before morning,

So the rumbling overtook them (while) entering upon the time of sunrise;

Then the Shout took them (away) at sunshine.
