Tafsir of verse 35
Al-Mukhtasar
I left some of this town that I destroyed as a clear sign for those who use their intellect for sound reasoning, because they are the ones who take a lesson from the signs.
We surely left some of its ruins as a clear sign for people of understanding.
And indeed We have left thereof an evident Ayâh (a lesson and a warning and a sign - the place where the Dead Sea is now in Palestine)6 for a folk who understand.
Notes
[6] (V.29:35) See the book of history كتاب التاريخ لابن كثير "Stories of the Prophets" by Ibn Kathir (رحمه الله).
And verily of that We have left a clear sign for people who have sense.
And We have left thereof an evident Sign, for any people who (care to) understand.
And certainly We have left a clear sign of it for a people who understand.
And indeed We have already left thereof a supremely evident sign for a people who consider.
