قَالَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ وَحَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم نَحْوَهُ ‏.‏ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ ‏.‏ وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو ‏.‏

Another chain from Ibn 'Abbas, from the Prophet (ﷺ), with similar meaning. [Abu 'Eisa said:

] This Hadith is Hasan Sahih.

There is something about this from 'Abdullah bin 'Amr.

Al-Mubarakfuri — Tuhfat al-Ahwadhi

قَوْلُهُ : ( نَهَى عَنْ الْمُجَثَّمَةِ ) بِالْجِيمِ وَالْمُثَلَّثَةِ الْمَفْتُوحَةِ الَّتِي تُرْبَطُ وَتُجْعَلُ غَرَضًا لِلرَّمْيِ , فَإِذَا مَاتَتْ مِنْ ذَلِكَ لَمْ يَحِلَّ أَكْلُهَا , وَالْجُثُومُ لِلطَّيْرِ وَنَحْوِهَا بِمَنْزِلَةِ الْبُرُوكِ لِلْإِبِلِ , فَلَوْ جَثَمَتْ بِنَفْسِهَا فَهِيَ جَاثِمَةٌ وَمُجَثِّمَةٌ بِكَسْرِ الْمُثَلَّثَةِ , وَتِلْكَ إِذَا صِيدَتْ عَلَى تِلْكَ الْحَالَةِ فَذُبِحَتْ جَازَ أَكْلُهَا وَإِنْ رُمِيَتْ فَمَاتَتْ لَمْ يَجُزْ لِأَنَّهَا تَصِيرُ مَوْقُوذَةً ( عَنْ لَبَنِ الْجَلَّالَةِ ) قَدْ اُخْتُلِفَ فِي طَهَارَةِ لَبَنِ الْجَلَّالَةِ , فَالْجُمْهُورُ عَلَى الطَّهَارَةِ لِأَنَّ النَّجَاسَةَ تَسْتَحِيلُ فِي بَاطِنِهَا فَيَظْهَرُ بِالِاسْتِحَالَةِ كَالدَّمِ يَسْتَحِي…

Authentic Sunan Abu Dawud 3719

The apostle of allah (ﷺ) forbade drinking from the mouth of a water-skin, and riding the animal which feeds on filth and eating the animal which is killed in confinement. Abu Dawud said: Jallalah means an animal which eats filth and impurities.

عَنِ الشُّرْبِ مِنْ فِي السِّقَاءِ وَعَنْ رُكُوبِ الْجَلاَّلَةِ وَالْمُجَثَّمَةِ ‏.‏

The Prophet (ﷺ) prohibited to drink the milk of the animal which feeds on filth.

نَهَى عَنْ لَبَنِ الْجَلاَّلَةِ ‏.‏

Authentic Jami' at-Tirmidhi 1825

"The Prophet (ﷺ) prohibited the Mujath-thamah, the milk of the Jallalah, and drinking from the sprout of the water-skin."
