حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْعَلَاءِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لَا هِجْرَةَ بَعْدَ ثَلَاثٍ

It is unlawful for a Muslim to abandon his brother for more than three (days); so whoever abandons more than three then dies will enter the Hellfire

Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "It is unlawful for a Muslim to abandon his brother for more than three (days); so whoever abandons more than three then dies will enter the Hellfire."

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: It is not right for a Muslim to keep apart from another Muslim for more than three days. Then when he meets him and gives three salutations, receiving during that time no response, the other bears his sin.

لاَ يَكُونُ لِمُسْلِمٍ أَنْ يَهْجُرَ مُسْلِمًا فَوْقَ ثَلاَثَةٍ فَإِذَا لَقِيَهُ سَلَّمَ عَلَيْهِ ثَلاَثَ مِرَارٍ كُلُّ ذَلِكَ لاَ يَرُدُّ عَلَيْهِ فَقَدْ بَاءَ بِإِثْمِهِ ‏"
