Narrator:Jābir ibn ‘Abdullāh

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى، وَأَبُو الرَّبِيعِ، قَالَ أَبُو الرَّبِيعِ حَدَّثَنَا وَقَالَ، يَحْيَى - وَاللَّفْظُ لَهُ - أَخْبَرَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، أَنَّ رَجُلاً، مَرَّ بِأَسْهُمٍ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ قَدْ أَبْدَى نُصُولَهَا فَأُمِرَ أَنْ

يَأْخُذَ بِنُصُولِهَا كَىْ لاَ يَخْدِشَ مُسْلِمًا ‏.‏

Jabir b. Abdullah reported that a person happened to come to the mosque with arrows and their iron-ends were exposed, so he was commanded that he should grasp the pointed heads so that these might not do any harm to a Muslim.

Abu Mūsa al-Ash‘ari (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever passes through any of our mosques or markets with arrows with him, he should hold them by their heads (blades) lest he injures any of the Muslims with them."

وعنه قال‏:‏ قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏:‏ “من مر في شيء من مساجدنا، أو أسواقنا، ومعه نبل فليمسك، أو ليقبض على نصالها بكفه أن يصيب أحدًا من المسلمين منها بشيء” ‏(‏‏(‏متفق عليه‏)‏‏)‏ ‏.‏

Authentic Sahih al-Bukhari 452

(on the authority of his father) The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Whoever passes through our mosques or markets with arrows should hold them by their heads lest he should injure a Muslim."

مَنْ مَرَّ فِي شَىْءٍ مِنْ مَسَاجِدِنَا أَوْ أَسْوَاقِنَا بِنَبْلٍ، فَلْيَأْخُذْ عَلَى نِصَالِهَا، لاَ يَعْقِرْ بِكَفِّهِ مُسْلِمًا ‏"
