Narrator:Anas ibn Mālik

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى، أَخْبَرَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم

يَغْزُو بِأُمِّ سُلَيْمٍ وَنِسْوَةٍ مِنَ الأَنْصَارِ مَعَهُ إِذَا غَزَا فَيَسْقِينَ الْمَاءَ وَيُدَاوِينَ الْجَرْحَى ‏.‏

It has been narrated on the authority of Anas b. Malik who said that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) allowed Umm Sulaim and some other women of the Ansar to accompany him when he went to war; they would give water (to the soldiers) and would treat the wounded.

Reported by Muslim (No. 1810), Abu Dawud (No. 2531) and At-Tirmidhi (No. 1575).

قَوْله : ( كَانَ النَّبِيّ صَلَّى اللَّه عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَغْزُو بِالنِّسَاءِ , فَيَسْقِينَ الْمَاء وَيُدَاوِينَ الْجَرْحَى ) فِيهِ خُرُوج النِّسَاء فِي الْغَزْوَة وَالِانْتِفَاع بِهِنَّ فِي السَّقْي وَالْمُدَاوَاة وَنَحْوهمَا , وَهَذِهِ الْمُدَاوَاة لِمَحَارِمِهِنَّ وَأَزْوَاجهنَّ , وَمَا كَانَ مِنْهَا لِغَيْرِهِمْ لَا يَكُون فِيهِ مَسّ بَشَرَة إِلَّا فِي مَوْضِع الْحَاجَة.…

"The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to go to battle with Umm Sulaim, and other women with her, from the Ansar, who would give water and attend to the wounded." [Abu 'Eisa said:] There is something on this topic from Ar-Rabi' bin Mu'awwidh. This Hadith is Hasan Sahih.

يَغْزُو بِأُمِّ سُلَيْمٍ وَنِسْوَةٍ مَعَهَا مِنَ الأَنْصَارِ يَسْقِينَ الْمَاءَ وَيُدَاوِينَ الْجَرْحَى ‏.‏

Anas told that when God’s Messenger went on an expedition he took Umm Sulaim, and he had some women of the Ansar who supplied water and tended the wounded when he made an expedition. Muslim transmitted it.

وَعَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَغْزُو بِأُمِّ سُلَيْمٍ وَنِسْوَةٍ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ مَعَهُ إِذَا غَزَا يَسْقِينَ الْمَاءَ وَيُدَاوِينَ الْجَرْحَى. رَوَاهُ مُسلم
