وَزَادَ ابْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، عَنْ مَعْبَدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ، عَنْ حَارِثَةَ، سَمِعَ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَوْلَهُ حَوْضُهُ مَا بَيْنَ صَنْعَاءَ وَالْمَدِينَةِ‏.‏ فَقَالَ لَهُ الْمُسْتَوْرِدُ أَلَمْ تَسْمَعْهُ قَالَ الأَوَانِي‏.‏ قَالَ لاَ‏.‏ قَالَ الْمُسْتَوْرِدُ تُرَى فِيهِ الآنِيَةُ مِثْلَ الْكَوَاكِبِ‏.‏

Haritha said that he heard the Prophet saying that his Lake-Fount would be as large as the distance between Sana' and Medina. Al- Mustaurid said to Haritha, "Didn't you hear him talking about the vessels?" He said, "No." Al- Mustaurid said, "The vessels are seen in it as (numberless as) the stars."

Ibn Hajar al-Asqalani — Fath al-Bari

قَوْله ( مَعْبَد بْن خَالِد ) هُوَ الْجَدَلِيّ بِفَتْحِ الْجِيم وَالْمُهْمَلَة مِنْ ثِقَات الْكُوفِيِّينَ , وَلَهُمْ مَعْبَد بْن خَالِد اِثْنَانِ غَيْره أَحَدهمَا أَكْبَرُ مِنْهُ وَهُوَ صَحَابِيٌّ جُهَنِيّ وَالْآخَر أَصْغَرُ مِنْهُ وَهُوَ أَنْصَارِيٌّ مَجْهُولٌ. قَوْله ( حَارِثَة بْن وَهْب ) هُوَ الْخُزَاعِيُّ , صَحَابِيٌّ نَزَلَ الْكُوفَة لَهُ أَحَادِيثُ , وَكَانَ أَخَا عُبَيْد اللَّه بِالتَّصْغِيرِ اِبْن عُمَر بْن الْخَطَّاب لِأُمِّهِ. قَوْله ( كَمَا بَيْن الْمَدِينَة وَصَنْعَاء ) قَالَ اِبْن التِّين : يُرِيد صَنْعَاء الشَّام. قُلْت : وَلَا بُعْد فِي حَمْله عَلَى الْمُتَبَادِر هُوَ صَنْعَاء الْيَمَن لِمَا تَقَدَّمَ تَوْجِيهه , وَقَدْ تَقَدَّمَ فِي الْحَدِيث الْخَامِس التَّقْيِيد بِصَنْعَاء…

"My Cistern takes a month's journey to cross it. Its water is whiter than milk, its smell is nicer than musk, and its drinking cups are like the stars of the sky; whoever drinks from it will never become thirsty."
