Narrator:Abdullāh ibn Mughaffal

حَدَّثَنَا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ قُرَّةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُغَفَّلٍ، قَالَ

قَرَأَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَوْمَ فَتْحِ مَكَّةَ سُورَةَ الْفَتْحِ فَرَجَّعَ فِيهَا‏.‏ قَالَ مُعَاوِيَةُ لَوْ شِئْتُ أَنْ أَحْكِيَ لَكُمْ قِرَاءَةَ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم لَفَعَلْتُ‏.‏

Narrated `Abdullah bin Mughaffal:

On the Day of the Conquest of Mecca, the Prophet (ﷺ) recited Surat Al-Fath in a vibrating and pleasant voice. (Muawaiya, the subnarrator said, "If I could imitate the recitation of the Prophet (ﷺ) I would do so.")

Ibn Hajar al-Asqalani — Fath al-Bari

الْحَدِيث الثَّالِث : قَوْله : ( عَنْ عَبْد اللَّه بْن مُغَفَّل ) بِالْمُعْجَمَةِ وَالْفَاء وَزْن مُحَمَّد. قَوْله : ( فَرَجَّعَ فِيهَا ) أَيْ رَدَّدَ صَوْته بِالْقِرَاءَةِ , وَقَدْ أَوْرَدَهُ فِي التَّوْحِيد مِنْ طَرِيق أُخْرَى بِلَفْظِ " كَيْف تَرْجِيعه ؟ قَالَ : أ أ أ ثَلَاث مَرَّات " قَالَ الْقُرْطُبِيّ : هُوَ مَحْمُول عَلَى إِشْبَاع الْمَدّ فِي مَوْضِعه , وَقِيلَ كَانَ ذَلِكَ بِسَبَبِ كَوْنه رَاكِبًا فَحَصَلَ التَّرْجِيع مِنْ تَحْرِيك النَّاقَة. وَهَذَا فِيهِ نَظَر لِأَنَّ فِي رِوَايَة عَلِيّ بْن الْجَعْد عَنْ شُعْبَة عِنْد الْإِسْمَاعِيلِيّ " وَهُوَ يَقْرَأ قِرَاءَة لَيِّنَة , فَقَالَ : لَوْلَا أَنْ يَجْتَمِع النَّاس عَلَيْنَا لَقَرَأْت ذَلِكَ اللَّحْن " وَكَذَا أَخْرَجَهُ أَبُو عُبَيْ…
