Narrator:As-Sā'ib ibn Yazīd

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ الزُّهْرِيَّ، عَنِ السَّائِبِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ، يَقُولُ أَذْكُرُ أَنِّي

خَرَجْتُ مَعَ الْغِلْمَانِ إِلَى ثَنِيَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ نَتَلَقَّى رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم‏.‏

Narrated As-Sa'ib bin Yazid:

I remember that I went out with the boys to (the place called) Thaniyat-ul-Wada` to receive Allah's Apostle .

قَوْله : ( وَقَالَ سُفْيَان مَرَّة مَعَ الصِّبْيَان ) هُوَ مَوْصُول , وَلَكِنْ بَيْن الرَّاوِي عَنْهُ أَنَّهُ قَالَ مَرَّة الْغِلْمَان وَمَرَّة الصِّبْيَان , وَهُوَ بِالْمَعْنَى. ثُمَّ سَاقَهُ عَنْ شَيْخ آخَر عَنْ سُفْيَان وَزَادَ فِي آخِره " مَقْدَمه مِنْ تَبُوك " فَأَنْكَرَ الدَّاوُدِيُّ هَذَا وَتَبِعَهُ اِبْن الْقَيِّم وَقَالَ : ثَنِيَّة الْوَدَاع مِنْ جِهَة مَكَّة لَا مِنْ جِهَة تَبُوك , بَلْ هِيَ مُقَابِلهَا كَالْمَشْرِقِ وَالْمَغْرِب. قَالَ : إِلَّا أَنْ يَكُون هُنَاكَ ثَنِيَّة أُخْرَى فِي تِلْكَ الْجِهَة , وَالثَّنِيَّة مَا اِرْتَفَعَ فِي الْأَرْض , وَقِيلَ الطَّرِيق فِي الْجَبَل. قُلْت : لَا يَمْنَع كَوْنهَا مِنْ جِهَة الْحِجَاز أَنْ يَكُون خُرُوج الْمُسَافِر إِلَى الشَّام مِنْ جِهَت…
