Narrator:Abdullāh ibn ‘Umar

حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ أَبِي خَالِدٍ، عَنْ عَامِرٍ، قَالَ

كَانَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ إِذَا حَيَّا ابْنَ جَعْفَرٍ قَالَ السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ابْنَ ذِي الْجَنَاحَيْنِ‏.‏

Narrated 'Amir:

Whenever Ibn `Umar greeted the son of Ja`far, he used to say (to him), "Assalam 'Alaika (i.e. peace be on you) O the son of two-winged person."

قَوْله : ( حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّد بْن أَبِي بَكْر ) هُوَ الْمُقَدِّمِيّ , وَعُمَر بْن عَلِيّ هُوَ عَمّه , وَعَامِر هُوَ الشَّعْبِيّ. قَوْله : ( يَا اِبْن ذِي الْجَنَاحَيْنِ ) تَقَدَّمَ شَرْحه فِي مَنَاقِب جَعْفَر , وَأَنَّهُ عُوِّضَ بِذَلِكَ عَنْ قَطْع يَدَيْهِ فِي تِلْكَ الْوَقْعَة حَيْثُ أَخَذَ اللِّوَاءَ بِيَمِينِهِ فَقُطِعَتْ , ثُمَّ أَخَذَهُ بِشِمَالِهِ فَقُطِعَتْ , ثُمَّ اِحْتَضَنَهُ فَقُتِلَ. وَإِنَّ النَّسَفِيّ رَوَى عَنْ الْبُخَارِيّ أَنَّهُ يُقَال لِكُلِّ ذِي نَاحِيَتَيْنِ جَنَاحَانِ , وَأَنَّهُ أَشَارَ إِلَى أَنَّ الْجَنَاحَيْنِ فِي هَذِهِ الْقِصَّةِ لَيْسَا عَلَى ظَاهِرِهِمَا. وَقَالَ السُّهَيْلِيُّ : قَوْله : جَنَاحَانِ لَيْسَا كَمَا يَسْبِق إِلَى الْوَهْمِ كَجَنَاحَيْ الطَّيْر وَر…
