Narrator:Ā’ishah

وَحَدَّثَنِي الأَوْزَاعِيُّ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ أَبِي رَبَاحٍ، قَالَ زُرْتُ عَائِشَةَ مَعَ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ اللَّيْثِيِّ فَسَأَلْنَاهَا

عَنِ الْهِجْرَةِ، فَقَالَتْ لاَ هِجْرَةَ الْيَوْمَ، كَانَ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ يَفِرُّ أَحَدُهُمْ بِدِينِهِ إِلَى اللَّهِ تَعَالَى وَإِلَى رَسُولِهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم مَخَافَةَ أَنْ يُفْتَنَ عَلَيْهِ، فَأَمَّا الْيَوْمَ فَقَدْ أَظْهَرَ اللَّهُ الإِسْلاَمَ، وَالْيَوْمَ يَعْبُدُ رَبَّهُ حَيْثُ شَاءَ، وَلَكِنْ جِهَادٌ وَنِيَّةٌ‏.‏

Narrated 'Ata bin Abi Rabah:

`Ubaid bin `Umar Al-Laithi and I visited Aisha and asked her about the Hijra (i.e. migration), and she said, "Today there is no (Hijrah) emigration. A believer used to run away with his religion to Allah and His Apostle lest he should be put to trial because of his religion. Today Allah has made Islam triumphant, and today a believer can worship his Lord wherever he likes. But the deeds that are still rewardable (in place of emigration) are Jihad and good intentions." قَوْله : ( قَالَ يَحْيَى بْن حَمْزَة : وَحَدَّثَنِي الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ ) هُوَ مَعْطُوف عَلَى الَّذِي قَبْله , وَقَدْ أَفْرَدَهُمَا فِي أَوَاخِر غَزْوَة الْفَتْح , وَأَوْرَدَ كُلّ وَاحِد مِنْهُمَا عَنْ إِسْحَاق بْن يَزِيد الْمَذْكُور بِإِسْنَادِهِ , وَأَخْرَجَ اِبْن حِبَّان الثَّانِي مِنْ طَرِيق الْوَلِيد بْن مُسْلِم عَنْ الْأَوْزَاعِيِّ قَالَ : " سَأَلْته عَنْ اِنْقِطَاع فَضِيلَة الْهِجْرَة إِلَى اللَّه وَرَسُوله فَقَالَ " فَذَكَرَهُ. قَوْله : ( عَنْ عَطَاء ) فِي رِوَايَة اِبْن حِبَّان " حَدَّثَنَا عَطَاء ". قَوْله : ( زُرْت عَائِشَة مَعَ عُبَيْد بْن عُمَيْر اللَّيْثِيّ ) تَقَدَّمَ فِي أَبْوَاب الطَّوَاف مِنْ الْحَجّ أَنَّهَا كَانَتْ حِينَئِذٍ مُجَاوِرَة فِي جَبَل ثَبِير. قَوْله : ( فَسَأَلَهَا…

Authentic Sahih al-Bukhari 3078

Mujashi (bin Mas`ud) took his brother Mujalid bin Musud to the Prophet (ﷺ) and said, "This is Mujalid and he will give a pledge of allegiance to you for migration." The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "There is no migration after the Conquest of Mecca, but I will take his pledge of allegiance for Islam."

هَذَا مُجَالِدٌ يُبَايِعُكَ عَلَى الْهِجْرَةِ‏.‏ فَقَالَ ‏"‏ لاَ هِجْرَةَ بَعْدَ فَتْحِ مَكَّةَ، وَلَكِنْ أُبَايِعُهُ عَلَى الإِسْلاَمِ ‏"

Authentic Sunan an-Nasa'i 4169

"I said: 'O Messenger of Allah, they are saying that no one will enter Paradise except a Muhajir."' He said: "There is no more emigration (Hijrah) after the Conquest of Makkah, rather there is Jihad and intention. When you are called to moblize (for Jihad) then do so."

"‏ لاَ هِجْرَةَ بَعْدَ فَتْحِ مَكَّةَ وَلَكِنْ جِهَادٌ وَنِيَّةٌ فَإِذَا اسْتُنْفِرْتُمْ فَانْفِرُوا ‏"
