Chapter: If the clothes of a prayer person in prostration touched his wife [would that make his Salat (prayer) invalid]?

Narrator:Maymūna bint al-Hārith

حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، عَنْ خَالِدٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ الشَّيْبَانِيُّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ شَدَّادٍ، عَنْ مَيْمُونَةَ، قَالَتْ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم

يُصَلِّي وَأَنَا حِذَاءَهُ وَأَنَا حَائِضٌ وَرُبَّمَا أَصَابَنِي ثَوْبُهُ إِذَا سَجَدَ‏.‏ قَالَتْ وَكَانَ يُصَلِّي عَلَى الْخُمْرَةِ‏.‏

Narrates `Abdullah bin Shaddad:

Maimuna said, "Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) was praying while I was in my menses, sitting beside him and sometimes his clothes would touch me during his prostration." Maimuna added, "He prayed on a Khumra (a small mat sufficient just for the face and the hands while prostrating during prayers).

قَوْله : ( عَنْ خَالِد ) هُوَ اِبْن عَبْد اللَّه الْوَاسِطِيّ , وَسُلَيْمَان الشَّيْبَانِيُّ هُوَ أَبُو إِسْحَاق مَشْهُور بِكُنْيَتِهِ. وَقَدْ تَقَدَّمَ الْكَلَام عَلَى هَذَا الْحَدِيث فِي الطَّهَارَة , وَاسْتُدِلَّ بِهِ هُنَاكَ عَلَى أَنَّ عَيْن الْحَائِض طَاهِرَة , وَهُنَا عَلَى أَنَّ مُلَاقَاة بَدَن الطَّاهِر وَثِيَابه لَا تُفْسِد الصَّلَاة وَلَوْ كَانَ مُتَلَبِّسًا بِنَجَاسَةٍ حُكْمِيَّة. وَفِيهِ إِشَارَة إِلَى أَنَّ النَّجَاسَة إِذَا كَانَتْ عَيْنِيَّة قَدْ تَضُرُّ , وَفِيهِ أَنَّ مُحَاذَاة الْمَرْأَة لَا تُفْسِد الصَّلَاة. قَوْله : ( وَكَانَ يُصَلِّي عَلَى الْخُمْرَة ) وَقَدْ تَقَدَّمَ ضَبْطهَا فِي آخِر كِتَاب الْحَيْض. قَالَ اِبْن بَطَّالٍ : لَا خِلَاف بَيْن فُقَهَاء الْأَمْصَار فِي ج…

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to pray at night and she (‘A’ishah) would lie between him and the qiblah, sleeping on the bed on which he would sleep. When he wanted to offer the witr prayer, he awakened her and she offered the witr prayer.

يُصَلِّي صَلاَتَهُ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ وَهِيَ مُعْتَرِضَةٌ بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ الْقِبْلَةِ رَاقِدَةً عَلَى الْفِرَاشِ الَّذِي يَرْقُدُ عَلَيْهِ حَتَّى إِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يُوتِرَ أَيْقَظَهَا فَأَوْتَرَتْ ‏.‏

'A'isha asked: What disrupts the prayer? We said: The woman and the ass. Upon this she remarked: Is the woman an ugly animal? I lay in front of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) like the bier of a corpse and he said prayer.
