حَدَّثَنَا بَدَلُ بْنُ الْمُحَبَّرِ، أَخْبَرَنَا شُعْبَةُ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي الْحَكَمُ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ أَبِي لَيْلَى، حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيٌّ، أَنَّ فَاطِمَةَ ـ عَلَيْهَا السَّلاَمُ ـ اشْتَكَتْ مَا تَلْقَى مِنَ الرَّحَى مِمَّا تَطْحَنُ، فَبَلَغَهَا أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم أُتِيَ بِسَبْىٍ، فَأَتَتْهُ تَسْأَلُهُ خَادِمًا فَلَمْ تُوَافِقْهُ، فَذَكَرَتْ لِعَائِشَةَ، فَجَاءَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَذَكَرَتْ ذَلِكَ عَائِشَةُ لَهُ، فَأَتَانَا وَقَدْ دَخَلْنَا مَضَاجِعَنَا، فَذَهَبْنَا لِنَقُومَ فَقَالَ ‏"‏ عَلَى مَكَانِكُمَا ‏"‏ حَتَّى وَجَدْتُ بَرْدَ قَدَمَيْهِ عَلَى صَدْرِي فَقَالَ ‏"‏ أَلاَ أَدُلُّكُمَا عَلَى خَيْرٍ مِمَّا سَأَلْتُمَاهُ

، إِذَا أَخَذْتُمَا مَضَاجِعَكُمَا فَكَبِّرَا اللَّهَ أَرْبَعًا وَثَلاَثِينَ، وَاحْمَدَا ثَلاَثًا وَثَلاَثِينَ، وَسَبِّحَا ثَلاَثًا وَثَلاَثِينَ، فَإِنَّ ذَلِكَ خَيْرٌ لَكُمَا مِمَّا سَأَلْتُمَاهُ ‏"

Narrated `Ali:

Fatima complained of what she suffered from the hand mill and from grinding, when she got the news that some slave girls of the booty had been brought to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ). She went to him to ask for a maid-servant, but she could not find him, and told `Aisha of her need. When the Prophet (ﷺ) came, Aisha informed him of that. The Prophet (ﷺ) came to our house when we had gone to our beds. (On seeing the Prophet) we were going to get up, but he said, 'Keep at your places,' I felt the coolness of the Prophet's feet on my chest. Then he said, "Shall I tell you a thing which is better than what you asked me for? When you go to your beds, say: 'Allahu Akbar (i.e. Allah is Greater)' for 34 times, and 'Al hamdu Li llah (i.e. all the praises are for Allah)' for 33 times, and Subhan Allah (i.e. Glorified be Allah) for 33 times. This is better for you than what you have requested."

Explanation in Arabic

كان النَّبيُّ صلَّى اللهُ عليه وسلَّمَ مُعلِّمًا ومُربِّيًا لأصْحابِه، فكان يُعلِّمُهم ما يَنفَعُهم في دُنْياهم وآخِرَتِهم، وكان يُعلِّمُهمُ الأذْكارَ الجامِعةَ الَّتي يُعْطي اللهُ عليها الثَّوابَ العَظيمَ، وتكونُ لهم عِوَضًا عن شدَّةِ العَيشِ في الدُّنْيا.

وفي هذا الحَديثِ يَرْوي عَلِيُّ بنُ أبي طالبٍ رَضيَ اللهُ عنه أنَّ فاطمةَ رَضيَ اللهُ عنها شَكَت ما تَجِدُه في يَدِها مِن أثَرِ الرَّحى ممَّا تَطحَنُ، والرَّحى: هي حَجَرانِ كَبيرانِ يَنطَبِقانِ فوقَ بعضِهما، وفي وَسَطِهما مِحْورٌ يَدَويٌّ يَدورُ حولَه الحَجرُ الأعْلى ليَطحَنَ الحُبوبَ، فلمَّا جاء إلى النَّبيِّ صلَّى اللهُ عليه وسلَّمَ سَبْيٌ، انطلَقَتْ إليه فاطمةُ رَضيَ اللهُ عنها تَسألُه خادِمًا من هذا السَّبْيِ ليَقومَ مَكانَها بأعْمالِ الطَّحنِ، ولكنَّها لم تَجِدِ النَّبيَّ صلَّى اللهُ عليه وسلَّمَ في بَيتِه، ووجَدَتْ عائشةَ رَضيَ اللهُ عنها، فأخبَرَتْها بذلك، فلمَّا جاء صلَّى اللهُ عليه وسلَّمَ أخبَرَتْه عائشةُ رَضيَ اللهُ عنها بمَجيءِ فاطمةَ رَضيَ اللهُ عنها إليه لتَسألَه خادمًا، قال علِيٌّ رَضيَ اللهُ عنه: فجاء النَّبيُّ صلَّى اللهُ عليه وسلَّمَ إلينا وقد أخَذْنا مَضاجِعَنا، أي: تَهيَّئْنا للنَّومِ، فذهَبْتُ لِأقومَ فقال صلَّى اللهُ عليه وسلَّمَ: على مَكانِكما، أي: الْزَما مَكانَكما، فقَعَد بيْنَنا حتَّى وجَدْتُ بَرْدَ قَدمَيْه على صَدْري، وقال: ألَا أُعلِّمُكما خَيرًا ممَّا سألْتُماني مِن إعْطائِكمُ الخادِمَ؟ فقال صلَّى اللهُ عليه وسلَّمَ: «إذا أخَذْتُما مَضاجِعَكما»، وهي الأماكنُ المُعدَّةُ للنَّومِ مِن اللَّيلِ، فتُكبِّرا أربَعًا وثَلاثينَ مرَّةً، بقولِ: اللهُ أكبَرُ، وتُسبِّحَا ثَلاثًا وثَلاثينَ مرَّةً، بقولِ: سُبحانَ اللهِ، وتَحْمَدا ثَلاثًا وثَلاثينَ، بقولِ: الحَمدُ للهِ؛ فأجرُ هذا الذِّكرِ خَيرٌ لَكُما مِن خادمٍ.

وفي الحَديثِ: أنَّ مَن واظَبَ على هذا الذِّكرِ عندَ النَّومِ، لم يُصِبْه إعْياءٌ؛ لأنَّ فاطمةَ رَضيَ اللهُ عنها شَكَتِ التَّعبَ مِن العَملِ، فأحالَها صلَّى اللهُ عليه وسلَّمَ على ذلك.

حَدِيثُ عَلِيٍّ " أَنَّ فَاطِمَةَ اِشْتَكَتْ مَا تَلْقَى مِنْ الرَّحَى مِمَّا تَطْحَنُ , فَبَلَغَهَا أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أُتِيَ بِسَبْيٍ , فَأَتَتْهُ تَسْأَلُهُ خَادِمًا " فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ وَفِيهِ " أَلَا أَدُلُّكُمَا عَلَى خَيْرٍ مِمَّا سَأَلْتُمَا " فَذَكَرَ الذِّكْرَ عِنْدَ النَّوْمِ , وَسَيَأْتِي شَرْحُهُ فِي كِتَابِ الدَّعَوَاتِ إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى , وَلَيْسَ فِيهِ ذِكْرُ أَهْلِ الصُّفَّةِ وَلَا الْأَرَامِلِ , وَكَأَنَّهُ أَشَارَ بِذَلِكَ إِلَى مَا وَرَدَ فِي بَعْضِ طُرُقِ الْحَدِيثِ كَعَادَتِهِ , وَهُوَ مَا أَخْرَجَهُ أَحْمَدُ مِنْ وَجْهٍ آخَرَ عَنْ عَلِيٍّ فِي هَذِهِ الْقِصَّةِ مُطَوَّلًا وَفِيهِ " وَاللَّهِ لَا أُعْطِيكُمْ وَأَدَعُ أَهْلَ الص…
