Narrator:Abu Hurayrah

حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرُ بْنُ حَازِمٍ، عَنِ الزُّبَيْرِ بْنِ خِرِّيتٍ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ قَالَ

قَضَى النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم إِذَا تَشَاجَرُوا فِي الطَّرِيقِ بِسَبْعَةِ أَذْرُعٍ‏.‏

Narrated Abu Huraira:

The Prophet (ﷺ) judged that seven cubits should be left as a public way when there was a dispute about the land.

Reported by Al-Bukhari (No. 2473).

Ibn Hajar al-Asqalani — Fath al-Bari

قَوْلُهُ : ( عَنْ الزُّبَيْر بْن خِرِّيت ) بِكَسْرِ الْخَاءِ الْمُعْجَمَةِ وَتَشْدِيدِ الرَّاءِ الْمَكْسُورَةِ بَعْدَهَا تَحْتَانِيَّة سَاكِنة ثُمَّ مُثَنَّاة , بَصْرِيٌّ مَا لَهُ فِي الْبُخَارِيِّ سِوَى هَذَا الْحَدِيث وَحَدِيثَيْنِ فِي التَّفْسِيرِ وَآخَر فِي الدَّعَوَاتِ , وَقَدْ أَوْرَدَ اِبْن عَدِيّ هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ فِي أَفْرَادِ جَرِير بْن حَازِم رَاوِيهِ عَنْ الزُّبَيْرِ هَذَا , فَهُوَ مِنْ غَرَائِب الصَّحِيحِ وَلَكِنَّ شَاهِدَهُ فِي مُسْلِمٍ مِنْ حَدِيثِ عَبْد اللَّه بْن الْحَارِث عَنْ اِبْن عَبَّاس , وَعِنْدَ الْإِسْمَاعِيلِيِّ مِنْ طَرِيق وَهْب بْن جَرِير عَنْ أَبِيهِ سَمِعْت الزُّبَيْر. قَوْلُهُ : ( إِذَا تَشَاجَرُوا ) تَفَاعَلُوا مِنْ الْمُشَاجَرَةِ بِالْمُعْجَمَةِ وَالْجِيم أَيْ…
